Like its predecessor, Standing Ovation offers some of the very best tunes from our earlier releases by Jim Roll, Gary Cornelius, Jo Serrapere, Leonardo, Brian Lillie, and Chris Buhalis, as well as material from some exciting new releases.

One of the new artists on this collection is Peter Clemens whose virtuoso guitar style on Comfort and Passion will instantly draw comparisons to John Renbourn, Michael Hedges, and Leo Kottke.

OMC is also pleased to announce that Scott Appel, an extraordinary guitarist and the leading interpreter of the music of Nick Drake, has joined our label with the release of his third recording, Parhelion, which features original tunes like "Hideaway/Sunwise Turn" as well as covers of songs by Nick Drake, Richard Thompson, Moby Grape, and Steve Miller.

We are also proud to release Kevin Meisel's Coal and Diamonds, whose "Red Moshannon" is a tour de force in folk/country songwriting that will draw comparisons to Gene Clark and Bruce Springsteen.

Lisa Hunter returns with her second OMC release Flying that includes the compellingly upbeat "Faith" and the hypnotic rocker "Paralyze". Try to envision a mix of Ani Defranco with Shawn Colvin.
